I use an mp3 player as my main listening format. Since this has been the general trend for the last four years, my Wrapped is at best a cut down amalgamation of my listening habits and at worst a highlight reel of songs that played more than four times at a party. This year is turning out to look more like the latter than the former, but regardless I love looking at my stats. Since 2017, I do not look at my full 100 song playlist, and instead I work through it blind (disregarding the first five songs) and note them as I make progress. I will be doing this again, the ninth iteration, I will be adding footnotes to this page if I need to explain myself, defend myself, or expand on something as I go along. I hope you enjoy.

I've been mixed on chappell Roan over the last couple of years. I saw her live (well, honestly I was in the merch line for most of it) on tour with olivia rodrigo in 2024. I think she has great moments, but the album did not really pull me in as a single piece. This song and Good Luck Babe, though, are shining moments of 2020s pop. Not what it would be if my mp3 listens counted, but a good enough summation of my year.
About two months ago, I put my phone on my dresser and went upstairs to get ready to leave or something, and this song had just released so I let it loop a few times. This is a testament to just how few times I have heard these songs. This accident was a top ten moment.
Top ambient song of the year according to wrapped. To be honest, I have almost no reccolection of the times I did listen to this on spotify. my assumption is it was earlier on in the year. hard to complain, it is a perfect song.
The first taylor swift to shine through makes sense. I think my most listened if all mediums were considered would have been Mirrorball or Timeless, but this works too.
Literally no reccolection of playing this. Last.fm says that I played this on two occasions, both between 12:30-1:30am on wednesday nights in february. Weird how lined up this is.
Another one with no reccolection of being played.
Obviously I am anti-AI, but girly girl productions pushed its way through the noise. I think it is so deeply satirical that I am willing to let it slide, and also genuinely hilarious, but generally I think making a satire of a medium by engaging in the medium almost always falls flat.
A really funny one to put on at gatherings, mostly because of the sheer torture of Lamentations 3:16-18. I expected to see it here, but had forgotten about it while listening.
I only listened to this once but spotify picked up on me starting and stopping it multiple times throughout the evenings.
This footnote is going to be about songs 36-39,a truly unbelievable setup. More out of curiosity than enjoyment (although, I kinda like cousins, at least for its grim confessionalism) these songs sit next to each other in complete disbelief. I am the only person with all four of them. The Shofar call I played to ring in the jewish new year is the icing on the cake though, 3 songs away from the most prolofic neo nazi in popular culture. Unbelievable setup here. Laughing all the way to the disintegration loops

This was my girlfriends top spotify artist of the year, so its nice seeing them here. I did love treasure chest, but August Again or route 95 were probably more listened. Maybe even Shotgun
This is the first of many ambient autechre songs that I played during ambient septmeber, featured on a playlist of loosies from various non ambient albums. I do not really recall these songs individually, but they are nice backdrops for the month.
This was my top song (and SOTY) for 2024, nice to see its shining face here.
Nothing Like The Argus playing in the car to remind you of why ween is the greatest band ever. Sad to see them not make the top 5 this year.
The latest addition on the playlist (most listens were in mid october). Also my highest rheos song which is a surprise. Well, my Introducing happiness era came at a time away from spotify. Maybe I should not be so surprised
